The award-winning film Duo was AG Productions' first independent film production (1995) and distribution (2004), written and directed by the founder of AG Productions, writer/director/producer Alex Ginnsz, starring his 12-year-old brother Stephane Ginnsz, the very first actor with Down syndrome to ever star in a motion picture film (fiction), and Emmy Award Winner (and twice nominee) Eden Riegel for her role as Bianca Montgomery in the television show "All My Children". Duo is a story of love, innocence, and music. Shot entirely on 16mm film, this 30-minute film is the result of a two of brilliant actors, and many other talented and very hard working film makers such as movie cinematographer Jonathan Furmanski.
Duo has won the heart of audiences and critics around the world. Winner of both the Martin Scorsese and the Warner Bros Pictures Film Awards. It was also Finalist at the 1996 Facets Chicago International Children's Film Festival, an Official Entry at the 23rd Student Academy Awards, and was nominated for a TASH Award in 1997. The response to its long overdue release on DVD and video in the summer of 2004 has been overwhelming. This year alone, Duo was invited to the New York Sprouts Film Festival and to the National Down Syndrome Congress Annual Convention. Our other divisions include Vendetta Records, our music label and sound studio, featuring Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and DTS sound encoding, Mobile Video 1, for streaming media and mobile audio-visual content creation, 48-7, for DVD and DVD-audio authoring.
